Ignition Marketing: A Point of View

For me, "What is Ignition Marketing (IM)?" is probably the easiest question to answer. I may simply refer you to the company's website and let you decipher the meaning of the technical terminology used. I do not wish to explain the nature of the business in this particular blog post. I will probably do that in another entry. I am quite sure, however, that readers of this post will post questions which I will try to answer as best as I can in the comments section. I wish, however, to dwell on the how I became an affiliate and why I am promoting the company.

But before I tell you my story, here are a few things I would like for you to establish first:

First, I am a teacher by profession. At one point of my life, I put up my own business--a learning center. I will always be proud of my baby and its product. It is now a defunct company, and now I understand where I have gone wrong managing the business. I wish I had known the system that I learned from IM later on.

Second, IM is a business but the main purpose it was created is to "help" non-technical, non-marketing people who would like to succeed with their businesses like me. So if you are a marketing person, you are probably familiar with the products of IM. In my online searches, I realized that IM may have been patterned after other businesses, or that other businesses may have been patterned after IM. I also observed that each one is unique on its own. So when IM claims to be uniquely Filipino, I can't help but agree for the most part. Whichever is the best is not my concern anymore. IM reached me first, and the company provides me with what I need most to become the successful entrepreneur I aspire to become. This does not inhibit me from learning from or becoming an affiliate of other similar businesses, of course. However, doing so, I just find myself mostly confused rather than focused so that does not help me much.

Third, since IM is a business, it definitely promotes itself, which is something I understand. Although at first I found the taglines and IM marketing texts a bit "spammy" as its products are promoted to be FREE TRAINING, and where there is an initial fee of 2,999 pesos for its basic program, I later on found myself sticking to it. I stuck to this description because in the process of learning about the products and the strategies they promote, I have indeed gained a lot of FREE learning and FREE information within my reach. One might argue that most information is just a "Google" away, but the truth is one like me would not know how to start if the concepts or terms were not presented to me. IM did just that. So I have been Googling myself away, hungry for more. And again, I remember what IM mentors said, that we (I) will be taught how "to fish" in the ocean of huge businesses and internet marketers.

Launching My New Website: CoffeE-Books

I am happy to announce that I now have a website dedicated to making e-books available to the public. I have always wanted to write my own books, then my own e-books. But I did not have time and guts to do it.

While creating the site, I had in mind the following message:

For people on the go…
Who seek help with the how-to’s of things…
Who appreciate help from those who have been there…
This site is for you.

Without further ado, here's the link:

Please pardon me as the site is still under development.

Enjoy!

How to Earn Online Using a Simple Money Making System

Dito sa website na ‘to, malalaman mo ang isang…

Simple Money Making System Na Makakatulong Sa’yo Para Kumita Ng
P25,000, P50,000 up to P100,000 na Extra Income Every Month Starting TODAY

…gamit ang internet, kahit nasa bahay ka lang at kahit wala kang technical skills o kahit wala kang gaanong alam sa computer at sa internet.

I'm an English teacher. I've been teaching for 14 years now. Eight years ago, I attempted to put up my own tutorial and review center. Tsamba lang. Pasara yung business ng friend ko. Sinalo ko. I believed in the quality of my own programs. Siyempre tried and tested ko sila. I thought quality of services was enough. I was dead wrong. I did not have any background in business. I had a mentor, but she was the type who "plunges in." Ibig sabihin, wala syang sistema. Banat lang ng banat. So I was the same. And in spite of the demands for my services, I had to close down my business. It hurt like hell. My family was furious because they lent me the money. And they made sure I am reminded of what a big failure I am up to this day. And I had no idea how to pay them back.

But now I do. Without going to business school or taking up marketing, I am well-equipped and ready to battle again. In fact, my learning has been overflowing that I am itching to apply them all with my businesses (Yup! That's plural.) But one can only do so much in a day. What with the full time housewife role (I've been "stagnant" in that respect), laundry and part time jobs.

Anyhow, I'll tell you more about my story in future posts (mahirap magtype sa smart phone). And I know many of you will be able to relate to me. As an English trainer, I have never been hesitant to share my experiences laluna kung makakatulong sa iba. I'll tell you more, promise. But in the meantime--and you're probably itching to know my secret anyway without waiting for my mala-MMK stories--visit my site and READ everything, ok? Don't skip a word! Here's the link.

May you find your life's purpose as I have found mine.

15 Tested and Proven Ways to Build Your Subscriber List

I saw this article online and thought that it would be great to share to friends who are into business. Enjoy reading!

"15 Tested and Proven Ways to Build Your Subscriber List

A list of engaged subscribers is one of the most effective and reliable marketing resources. A good list so valuable that it can’t be bought. Why? Because when subscribers sign up for your list, they’re signing up to hear from you and your company. Subscribers have to be earned. What are the best ways to build a list? We’ve collected the top 15 to share with you today.

The permission model allows you to fill your audience with people who are genuinely interested in your brand and what you have to say
With information collected during sign-up (or later), you can precisely segment your list and design your email communication to suit your reader's preferences.

As you attract qualified leads, you’ll be able to guide them through the decision-making process by aligning content to specific buying cycle stages.
Take a look at the 15 tips we’ve collected to help you build your email marketing list:
  1. Offer quality content. Nobody gives up their email address for free. If you want to build a valuable relationship and engage your audience, you need to provide content that is worthwhile and interesting.
  2. Put sign-up forms on every web page. Your sign-up form should be everywhere your potential subscribers are. Make sure it’s visible and easy to fill out.
  3. Use social media to collect email addresses. Integrate your sign-up forms with social media platforms. Driving traffic from multiple sources allows you to build a strong email marketing list much faster.
  4. Design your sign-up form carefully. Ask only for information you plan to use. A good rule of thumb is that less is more — the shorter the sign-up form, the higher the conversion rate.
  5. Show your privacy policy. Inform your readers that you will not share their personal information with third parties. A clear privacy policy helps you build trust and convince visitors that it’s safe to subscribe.
  6. Show samples of your content. Let your subscribers know what they are signing up for. Use your older content samples to “sell” the email sign-up.
  7. Include a call to action. Put a call to action in your submit button, e.g. Sign me up! This makes the sign-up process more engaging and improves the conversion ratio.
  8. Give away freebies. Think of a relevant incentive for your audience (e-book, infographic, whitepaper) and provide it for free.
  9. Ask subscribers to share. Take the time to prepare valuable, shareable content. Remember that putting the social share buttons is not enough; you still need to ask your subscribers to use them.
  10. Build a content distribution strategy. Producing great content is only half the battle. Make sure it’s visible to the right audience. Define who your ideal audience is and find out where they like to congregate online. Then choose communication channels accordingly.
  11. Publish landing pages. Create a squeeze page where visitors can download premium content in exchange for their email address. A dedicated web page helps users focus on the call to action and increases conversions.
  12. Include testimonials on your landing page. Social proof helps build trust toward a brand and its products. Use testimonials from satisfied customers to help visitors make a decision.
  13. Blog regularly. Great content brings more traffic. Develop a realistic content publishing schedule and stick to it.
  14. Guest post on popular blogs. Publishing your content on other blogs is a great way to build relationships with other bloggers in your industry and introduce yourself to new people. Include a backlink to your blog, and your blog’s search rankings will go up.
  15. Collect email addresses at offline events. Be ready to collect email addresses at trade shows and conferences. Ask for business cards or use the Forms on the Go app to instantly add people to your list.
It’s time to get started.

Now you know a handful of great ways to build one of the most effective marketing assets — your email marketing list.
